Skoda has shared a brief video teaser showcasing its upcoming electric SUV. Released on the brand's social media channels, this 10-second clip offers an initial look at the new model.

Design Preview: Concept or Production Model?

The teaser highlights distinctive V-shaped LED daytime running lights and a full-width light bar, with the Skoda logo illuminated on the front. The main lighting clusters appear positioned lower and separate from the upper signature lights.

The accompanying press release describes the footage as "an exclusive sneak peek of its design concept for a future battery-electric vehicle." This wording suggests the reveal may be a design study hinting at a new high-riding EV rather than a final production model.

    When to Expect Full Details

The full unveiling is scheduled for Friday, March 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM CET (4:00 AM EST), live-streamed to coincide with Skoda's Annual Press Conference.

While details remain under wraps, industry reports point to a compact SUV, potentially the Elroq—an all-electric counterpart to the internal combustion Karoq. If so, expect a vehicle around 4.5 meters long, slightly shorter than the Karoq.

It's also uncertain which platform the production model will adopt. The larger Enyaq rides on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, while the Karoq uses the MQB A1 chassis. We’ll know more in just one week—stay tuned for Skoda’s official reveal.
