Overview
The first generation Fabia launched in 1999/2000 was built from the ground up under VW ownership. Following Czech cubist design heritage with angular shapes. Available as hatchback, sedan, and station wagon. Arched roofline with raked-forward rear window. Simple interior with curved dashboard and distinct instrument cluster dials. Split-folding rear bench expanded the trunk. Multiple gasoline and diesel engine options.
