2024 Skoda Elroq Teased: Electric Crossover Arrives October 1, 2024
Skoda is gearing up to launch its latest electric crossover, the Elroq, with its official debut scheduled for October 1.
Unveiling Details
The Skoda Elroq will be revealed in Prague at 19:30 CET, centered around a special media cube in the city's heart. The event will also stream live on Skoda's social media platforms, with press materials available on the company's website and YouTube channel.
Positioned below the larger Enyaq, the Elroq showcases familiar design cues such as dual headlamps, a closed grille, a large lower air intake, and the distinct Skoda lettering on the hood. It embraces the brand's modern "Solid" design language.
This design approach blends robustness, functionality, and authenticity, emphasizing safety and strength.
Powertrain and Range
The Elroq lineup includes the 50, 60, 85, and 85x trims. The higher trims, 85 and 85x, feature a 77 kWh battery capable of fast charging up to 175 kW.
Offering over 348 miles (560 km) of range, the top-tier 85x model delivers 296 horsepower (300 ps/220 kW) through a dual-motor setup.
The Elroq 85 comes with rear-wheel drive and 281 horsepower (285 ps/210 kW). The 60 trim features a 201 horsepower (204 ps/150 kW) motor paired with a 59 kWh battery.
Entry-level Elroq 50 is equipped with a 52 kWh battery and produces 168 horsepower (170 ps/125 kW).
While powertrain specs are clear, details about the interior, technology, and safety will be revealed during the official launch soon.
Skoda is expected to open orders for the Elroq across Europe shortly after the unveiling, with deliveries likely beginning before year-end.
