2024 Skoda Fabia Re-Enters Hot Hatch Game, Meet the Rally2 Limited Edition
The subcompact hot hatch segment may be shrinking as sporty crossovers rise in popularity, causing some manufacturers to exit the market. Skoda’s fourth-generation Fabia had yet to receive a hot hatch variant — until now.
Rally2 Limited Edition: A Collaboration with ABT Sportsline
Skoda has introduced a high-performance Fabia without the familiar RS (vRS in the UK) badge. Developed in partnership with ABT Sportsline, this special model pays tribute to rally champion Jose Antonio "Cohete" Suarez, winner of the Spanish Rally Super Championship in 2021 and 2023, and carries the distinctive Rally2 nameplate.
Volkswagen Group tuner ABT boosted the 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine by 39 hp (40 ps/29 kW) and 30 lb-ft (40 Nm), delivering 187 horsepower (190 ps/140 kW) and 214 lb-ft (290 Nm) of torque. Power is sent to the front wheels through a DSG automatic transmission.
The 2024 Skoda Fabia Rally2 also benefits from chassis tuning. It rides 0.6 inches (15 mm) lower and rolls on 17-inch OZ Racing Superturismo WRC wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires, enhancing grip and handling.
Limited to 100 Units, Available Only in Spain
Production is capped at just 100 units, with deliveries starting in March 2025. This exclusive Fabia Rally2 is available solely in the Spanish market, priced from €30,900 ($32,437).
As the range-topping variant, it commands a premium over standard Fabia trims. For context, the base Fabia Essence starts at €20,500 ($22,165) in Spain, while Selection and Design trims begin at €21,500 ($23,247) and €23,700 ($25,625) respectively. The Monte Carlo variant tops the regular lineup at €25,600 ($27,680).
