2024 Skoda Kodiaq iV Plug-in Hybrid Launches in the UK with 201 HP
The all-new 2024 Skoda Kodiaq iV, a plug-in hybrid mid-size crossover, is now available in the UK. It delivers a combined output of 201 horsepower and offers an impressive zero-emission range of up to 75 miles, adding an eco-friendly option to the Kodiaq lineup.The Kodiaq iV pairs a 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a three-phase electric motor. Together, they produce 148 hp (150 ps/110 kW), and in Sport mode, torque reaches 258 lb-ft (350 Nm). The electric motor alone supplies 114 hp (116 ps/85 kW) and 243 lb-ft (330 Nm). Its 25.7 kWh (19.7 kWh net) battery, mounted beneath the rear seats, enables up to 75 miles of pure electric driving in the five-seat SE model.
Trim Levels and Pricing
The Kodiaq iV is offered in two UK trims: SE and SE L. The entry-level SE starts at £41,935 ($53,340) and includes 18-inch Mazeno alloy wheels, LED headlights and taillights, push-button start, heated front seats, a 13-inch infotainment screen, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and three-zone climate control. Safety features include door exit warning, blind spot detection, front cross traffic assist, and autonomous emergency braking.The SE L trim, priced from £44,635 ($56,775), adds LED Matrix adaptive headlights with cornering capability, keyless entry, an electric tailgate, and upgraded upholstery featuring perforated black artificial and real leather. It also offers electric adjustment and memory functions for the driver’s seat.
For comparison, the gasoline and diesel Skoda Kodiaq SE starts at £36,645 ($46,610), while the non-plug-in SE L costs £40,205 ($51,140). The engine range spans from 148 hp (150 ps/110 kW) to 201 hp (204 ps/150 kW).
The second-generation Kodiaq debuted last fall and began production earlier this year at Skoda’s Kvasiny plant in the Czech Republic. Based on the VW Group’s MQB Evo platform, it shares many components with the latest Volkswagen Tiguan and other similar-sized models within the group.
