The second-generation Skoda Kodiaq mid-size crossover is now available in the United Kingdom, with pricing revealed ahead of the order book opening on April 10. As the close relative of the latest Volkswagen Tiguan, the Kodiaq shares the same platform but offers a slightly larger body.
Pricing and Specifications
The lineup begins at £36,645 ($46,305) for the entry-level SE 5-seater, equipped with a 148 hp (150 ps/110 kW) 1.5-liter TSI e-TEC engine paired with a DSG transmission. Standard features include 18-inch alloy wheels, LED front and rear lights, push-button start, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch infotainment touchscreen, tri-zone climate control, and heated front seats.
The SE trim also offers advanced safety systems like front assist with automatic braking for pedestrians, cyclists, and vehicles, front cross traffic assist, plus blind spot detection with door exit warning. A third-row seat option is available for an additional cost, bringing the price to £37,505 ($47,390) for the seven-seat SE with the 1.5L petrol engine, or £39,805 ($50,295) with the 2.0L TDI diesel.
The higher SE L trim is priced at £40,205 ($50,800) with the 1.5 TSI petrol, and £42,505 ($53,710) with the 2.0 TDI diesel. This variant features a more powerful 190 hp (193 ps/142 kW) diesel engine starting at £46,225 ($58,410), which includes all-wheel drive for enhanced traction.
Skoda will launch the plug-in hybrid Kodiaq later this year, featuring a 25.7 kWh battery supporting 50 kW DC and 11 kW AC charging, and offering a WLTP-rated electric range up to 62 miles (100 km).
