2024 Skoda Octavia: A Mid-Cycle Refresh with Subtle Updates
Skoda has been teasing the 2024 Octavia's arrival, and the latest official sketches reveal a striking design. However, the production model will be more conservative than these bold illustrations suggest.
A Sportier Look in Official Sketches
The renderings depict a sporty Octavia with sleek lines, an aggressive stance, and a sloping roofline atop large wheels. Yet, the Czech automaker confirms the actual update focuses mainly on refreshed front and rear bumpers with minor styling tweaks.
According to the press release, expect redesigned bumpers, sharper headlamps, and a new grille interpretation. Inside, the Octavia will feature an upgraded infotainment system and updated digital instrument cluster.
The 2024 Octavia is set to continue with much of the current engine lineup, including 1.0L three-cylinder and 2.0L four-cylinder units. Mild hybrid options and at least one plug-in hybrid variant will also be available.
Diesel remains popular in Europe, so Skoda plans to offer at least one diesel engine alongside a compressed natural gas (CNG) model.
The RS Model: Enhanced Performance Features
Skoda confirms the refreshed Octavia will still include the sporty RS (or vRS in the UK) trim. This high-performance version will add a retuned chassis, upgraded brakes, and more aggressive bumper designs.
It's possible the 2024 facelift will be available only as a hatchback and station wagon, with the rugged Scout variant potentially discontinued. Further details are expected closer to launch.
Order books should open shortly after the online reveal, with deliveries likely starting by summer.
