UK customers can now order the 2024 Skoda Octavia vRS, starting at £38,670. This sporty model arrives alongside a new diesel-powered SportLine variant, expanding Skoda’s lineup for British drivers.
Power and Performance
The Octavia vRS is powered by a 2.0L TSI petrol engine delivering 265 ps (261 hp/195 kW) and 370 Nm (273 lb-ft) of torque. It accelerates from 0-100 kph (62 mph) in just 6.4 seconds for the Hatchback, and 6.5 seconds for the Estate.
This performance matches the facelifted VW Golf GTI, with power sent to the wheels via a 7-speed DSG transmission for a dynamic driving experience.
Design and Features
The refreshed Octavia vRS features distinctive front and rear bumpers, a new vRS badge on the grille, and black accents on window trim, door mirrors, and grille surround. The Estate adds sleek black roof rails, and the tailpipes sport a dark finish.
Inside, the cabin is adorned in black with aluminum pedal covers, a multifunction steering wheel with red stitching, and vRS logos embossed on the seats. Convenience comes via an electric tailgate, keyless entry, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 13-inch infotainment display.
Introducing the SportLine Diesel Variant
Alongside the vRS, Skoda UK introduces a new diesel option for the SportLine trim, powered by a 2.0L TDI engine producing 150 ps (148 hp/110 kW). This variant complements the existing 1.5 TSI and 1.5 TSI e-TEC petrol models.
The SportLine Diesel is priced from £35,775 for the Hatch and £36,805 for the Estate. Petrol SportLine models start at £32,255 (Hatch) and £33,285 (Estate), with the 1.5 TSI e-TEC from £34,295 and £35,325 respectively.
Performance-wise, the diesel SportLine reaches 100 kph in 8.5 seconds, comparable to its petrol siblings.
