Skoda Unveils 2025 Kamiq Design Edition for the UK Market

Skoda has started 2025 by launching a fresh trim for its refreshed Kamiq crossover, available in the United Kingdom starting January 16. The new Kamiq Design Edition builds on the SE Edition with updated style and features to enhance its appeal.

Distinctive Features of the Kamiq Design Edition

Sitting between the SE Edition and SE L Edition, the Design Edition draws inspiration from the Fabia model and adds standout design elements such as 17-inch Propus aero alloy wheels, blacked-out side mirror caps and roof, plus rear privacy glass. Inside, the cabin upgrades include a black headliner, aluminum pedals, ambient lighting, red dashboard accents, and a three-spoke sports steering wheel for a sportier feel.

Buyers can choose between two petrol engines: a 1.0-liter with 95 ps (94 hp/70 kW) or a more powerful 1.0-liter producing 116 ps (114 hp/85 kW). Both come standard with a manual gearbox, while the higher output unit is also available with an optional seven-speed DSG automatic transmission.

Fuel economy ratings include an estimated 51.9 mpg UK (43.2 mpg US/5.4 l/100 km) for the base engine, 52.3 mpg UK (43.6 mpg US/5.4 l/100 km) for the 116 ps manual, and 50.6 mpg UK (40.1 mpg US/5.6 l/100 km) for the automatic variant, all measured under the WLTP cycle.

    Pricing and Options

The Skoda Kamiq Design Edition starts at £25,855 ($32,350) on the road for the manual base model, rising to £28,185 ($35,265) for the automatic with the more powerful engine.

For context, the entry-level SE Edition begins at £24,190 ($30,265) with the smaller engine, £26,520 ($33,180) with the 116 ps DSG, and £27,865 ($34,865) for the 1.5L TSI 150 ps DSG trims.

The SE L Edition trim is available with the 1.0 TSI 116 ps and 1.5 TSI 150 ps engines, priced from £27,335 ($34,200) and £28,730 ($35,950), respectively, with automatic DSG versions starting at £28,785 ($36,015) and £30,130 ($37,700).
