2025 Skoda Kodiaq vRS: Sporty Upgrades and Pricing Revealed

Exciting news for Skoda Kodiaq fans: the Czech automaker will start taking orders for the refreshed 2025 Kodiaq vRS (known as the RS in continental Europe) on January 16.

    Design Updates and Interior Highlights

This updated Kodiaq vRS delivers a sportier feel thanks to a powerful VW Golf GTI-sourced engine. Standout exterior features include a redesigned bumper, a rear reflector strip, black Skoda lettering and model badge, polished stainless steel exhaust tips, a glossy black grille frame, black D-pillars and window surrounds, vRS logos, and standard 20-inch Elias wheels.

Inside, the 2025 Kodiaq vRS impresses with front sports seats upholstered in a black microsuede and artificial leather blend, stitched with striking red thread. The cabin also features a black headliner, black microsuede accents on the door panels, dashboard, and central armrest, plus a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel adorned with red stitching and the vRS logo. Additional touches include stainless steel pedal covers, special front door sills, a 13-inch infotainment display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, laminated glass, and more.

    Performance and Driving Dynamics

Underneath, the sporty crossover benefits from a chassis tuned for quicker cornering, featuring DCC Plus Dynamic Chassis Control that offers a broad damping range. Drivers can select from Eco, Comfort, Normal, Sport, Individual, Snow, and Off-Road modes, enhancing versatility while maintaining sporty handling. Despite its rugged off-road mode, the Kodiaq vRS remains a performance-focused crossover.

The heart of the model is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder TSI petrol engine paired with a 7-speed DSG transmission and standard all-wheel drive. It delivers 265 PS (261 hp/195 kW), a 20 PS increase over the previous version, and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque. This powertrain enables the Kodiaq vRS to accelerate from 0 to 100 kph (0-62 mph) in just 6.4 seconds, reaching a top speed of 230 kph (143 mph).

Fuel economy stands at a combined 33.8 mpg UK (28.1 mpg US / 8.4 l/100 km) based on the WLTP cycle. Pricing in the UK begins at £52,595 (approximately $64,748 at current exchange rates).

For buyers seeking more budget-friendly options, the regular Kodiaq SE starts at £38,720 ($47,667), the SE L at £41,420 ($50,991), and the SportLine at £43,920 ($54,068). All three trims offer seven-seat configurations, while five-seat versions of the SE L and SportLine are priced from £44,635 ($54,948) and £47,135 ($58,026) respectively.
