2026 Skoda Space Revealed in Spy Shots: Electric 7-Seat SUV with MEB Platform

The 2026 Skoda Space has appeared in spy photos, showcasing an electric crossover heavily inspired by the Vision 7S concept from August 2022. This upcoming model will replace the Kodiaq and be complemented by a five-seat wagon variant named Combi. Early details suggest the Space measures roughly 4.9 meters (192.9 inches) long, making it one of six electric models planned for release by the end of 2026. It is designed to seat seven passengers with ample interior versatility. The camouflaged prototype reveals sweptback headlights that differ from the concept’s design. These lights frame a rounded front fascia, which includes two brake cooling air ducts and a prominent central intake on the bumper. Distinctive features include door-mounted side mirrors, small front quarter windows, flush door handles, and notably long rear doors.

    Interior Features

Inside, the 2026 Skoda Space features a portrait-oriented infotainment touchscreen, estimated at 14.6 inches diagonally. This setup resembles those found in the ID.4-based Explorer EV and ID.5-based Capri but is distinct from the infotainment systems used by Ford Europe’s German-built SUVs. The Vision 7S concept is equipped with an 89 kWh high-voltage battery, enabling a WLTP driving range exceeding 600 kilometers (373 miles). By comparison, the ID.7 Pro S sedan offers up to 709 kilometers (441 miles) range with its 86 kWh pack. Charging speeds for the Space are expected to reach 200 kW, matching the fastest charging rates of the current ID.7 models. In the market, the 2026 Skoda Space will compete with Hyundai’s all-new Ioniq 9 and the mechanically similar Kia EV9, the latter delivering ranges of up to 563 kilometers (350 miles) in Europe and 304 miles (489 kilometers) in the U.S. Liked this article?
