2026 Skoda Space: The Funky New Flagship Electric SUV Revealed

Skoda is gearing up to launch the Space, its new three-row electric crossover positioned above the Enyaq, debuting in 2026.

    Bold and Funky Design

Stepping into the spotlight, Skoda’s upcoming flagship SUV hints at a bold new direction. As part of the VW Group, Skoda’s latest contender—likely named the Space—was recently spotted testing in northern Sweden, heavily camouflaged to protect its fresh Modern Solid design until the official unveiling.

While the disguise conceals many details, automotive site Kolesa has envisioned the model without camouflage, drawing inspiration from the Vision 7S Concept that previewed this SUV nearly two years ago. The grille remains strikingly similar to the concept’s, anchoring the design.

The production model swaps the concept’s Y-shaped headlamps for more conventional designs, but retains the distinctive taillights at the rear. Flush door handles and classic side mirrors replace the concept’s cameras, while a sizeable rear spoiler and streamlined front and rear bumpers give it a polished, production-ready look. The test vehicle features aero-optimized wheels, and the body is finished in bold red with contrasting black accents.

    Specs and Features

At approximately 4.9 meters (192.9 inches) long, the Space stretches nearly 250 mm (9.8 inches) beyond the Enyaq, positioning it as Skoda's largest electric SUV. Like the Enyaq, it’s expected to be a zero-emission vehicle, likely sharing similar rear- and all-wheel drive powertrains with dual motors available.

The cabin will offer three rows of seating, accommodating up to seven occupants comfortably. Inside, a larger portrait-oriented touchscreen is anticipated to dominate the dashboard, complemented by an array of advanced technology and safety features.

Official details remain under wraps but are expected to be revealed as Skoda approaches the Space’s anticipated launch in 2026.
