Skoda starts production of its compact 2025 Elroq EV alongside Enyaq and Octavia in Czech Republic. Over 20,000 orders received since launch.
2025 Skoda Elroq Begins Production at Czech Automaker's Main Factory in Mlada Boleslav
Skoda's smallest electric vehicle, the Elroq, has entered production, sharing its assembly line with the Enyaq and Octavia models. Since its October 2024 debut, the latest Volkswagen Group BEV has attracted over 20,000 orders.
Production Details
The Elroq is built on a versatile production line at Skoda's primary plant in Mlada Boleslav, which also manufactures the Enyaq and ICE-powered Octavia. The facility has been upgraded to produce up to 600 Elroq units daily.
Beyond vehicle assembly, this plant produces MEB platform-specific batteries, supplying the Elroq and other Volkswagen Group electric models.
Elroq Specifications
Offering three battery options—55 kWh, 63 kWh, and 82 kWh—the Elroq comes with rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive variants. Its design takes cues from the Skoda Vision 7S concept revealed in November 2022.
Consistent with other MEB-based vehicles, the Elroq features rear drum brakes, enhancing regenerative braking efficiency. Trim levels include Essence 50, Selection 50 and 60, Selection 85, plus Sportline 60 and 85.
The Czech-market Essence 50 features a 52 kWh net capacity battery and standard equipment like 19-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone Climatronic climate control, blind-spot monitoring, and an eight-speaker sound system.
The WLTP combined driving range varies from 371 to 581 kilometers (231 to 361 miles), depending on the trim. Pricing in the Czech Republic starts at 799,000 korunas (about $33,095 USD).
