Skoda Elroq Electric Crossover Unveiled with 348-Mile Range and Advanced Features

Discover the all-new Skoda Elroq, a battery-electric crossover offering up to 348 miles range, advanced tech, and sustainable design coming late 2024.

Skoda Elroq Electric Crossover Unveiled with 348-Mile Range and Advanced Features

The all-new Skoda Elroq is a fully electric crossover positioned between the upcoming Epiq and the current Enyaq in Skoda's lineup. After several spy shots revealed glimpses of the model, Skoda has now shared detailed information alongside more images of a camouflaged prototype.

    Specifications

The Elroq will be available in four versions: 50, 60, 85, and 85x. The base model features a 52 kWh (net) battery, the mid-range 60 uses a 59 kWh battery, and the 85 and 85x carry the largest 77 kWh battery pack.

Performance starts with 170 PS (168 hp/125 kW) from a rear-mounted electric motor in the entry-level model. The Elroq 60 increases output to 204 PS (201 hp/150 kW), both capped at a top speed of 160 kph (100 mph).

The Elroq 85 remains rear-wheel drive with 285 PS (281 hp/210 kW), while the 85x adds a front electric motor for all-wheel drive, delivering 300 PS (296 hp/220 kW). These top-tier versions reach 180 kph (112 mph) and offer an impressive range exceeding 560 km (348 miles).

    Charging

Fast DC charging is supported, with the 85 and 85x capable of charging at rates up to 175 kW. All variants can recharge from 10% to 80% in under 28 minutes, while a full charge at 11 kW takes between 5.5 and 8 hours depending on the model.

    Interior and Features

The Elroq includes both manual and automatic battery pre-conditioning to optimize fast-charging performance in cold weather. Its interior incorporates sustainable materials and offers features like remote parking, intelligent park assist, up to nine airbags, and a suite of safety systems.

Inside, the crossover sports a 5-inch digital cockpit shared with the Enyaq, a large 13-inch central touchscreen, and an optional head-up display. The MySkoda app enables remote control of various car functions for added convenience.

    Design

Shown in green and black camouflage branded with the Skoda name on the sides, the Elroq features sharp split-design headlights, a fully closed grille, LED taillights, and a sleek rear bumper. It has conventional door handles, a long front overhang, and a shorter rear overhang.

The roofline gently slopes towards the rear, with ample rear legroom to keep passengers comfortable. Wheels range from 19 to 21 inches and are aerodynamically optimized to enhance driving range.

    Release Date

Skoda plans to unveil the Elroq late in 2024 or early 2025, with orders expected to open soon after. As testing progresses, more design details will emerge once camouflage is removed, revealing how the Elroq carries forward Skoda's evolving design language.

This model marks a significant milestone for Skoda's all-electric lineup, launching a new BEV offensive with six quiet electric models planned in the near future. The Elroq will further solidify Skoda's presence in the EV market, and we'll continue monitoring its development closely.
