Skoda Unveils Elroq vRS: The Brand’s Most Powerful and Fastest-Charging Electric SUV

Skoda has launched the vRS edition of the Elroq electric SUV, positioning it as a premium offering in the electric performance segment.

A New Chapter in Skoda’s Electric Performance Legacy

Since 2000, Skoda’s vRS (Victory Rally Sport) lineup has defined its high-performance models, starting with the Octavia vRS and expanding through the Fabia vRS (2003), Kodiaq vRS (2018), and the Enyaq vRS in 2022—Skoda’s first electric performance SUV.

At debut, the Enyaq vRS was the most powerful production car from Skoda with 335 horsepower from dual electric motors. This power milestone is now matched by the newly introduced Elroq vRS.

Elroq vRS: Impressive Performance and Rapid Charging

Equipped with dual electric motors—one on each axle—the Elroq vRS produces a combined 335 horsepower and features all-wheel drive. It reaches a top speed of 111 mph (179 kph). Its 84 kWh battery delivers an impressive WLTP-rated range of up to 339 miles (546 km).

Designed for quick turnaround, the battery supports DC fast charging at 185 kW, enabling a charge from 10% to 80% in around 26 minutes. On AC charging at 11 kW, a full charge takes approximately eight and a half hours.

    Sleek Design and Premium Features

The Elroq vRS stands out with black exterior accents and two wheel options: 20-inch black metallic Draconis alloys with matte black inserts, or 21-inch anthracite metallic Vision alloys.

It features distinctive LED Matrix beam headlights, dynamic LED indicators, and Skoda’s signature Tech-Deck grille finished in black with illuminated detailing that discreetly houses sensors and radar.

Inside, the cabin combines perforated and smooth microsuede with artificial leather upholstery. Carbon fiber touches, lime green contrast stitching, and stainless steel pedals add a sporty yet refined atmosphere.

Technology highlights include a 5-inch digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch infotainment screen, and an augmented reality head-up display—all featuring exclusive vRS graphics. Additional amenities include four fast-charging USB-C ports, wireless smartphone charging, and a powerful Canton audio system delivering 675 watts through 12 speakers.

    Availability and Pricing

Skoda has begun delivering the Elroq vRS across key European markets. It launched in the UK on June 12, priced at £46,560 (over $63,000), aiming to replicate the success of its predecessor.
