Meet the Skoda Enyaq RS Race: A Motorsport-Inspired Electrifying Concept

The Skoda Enyaq RS Race is an exciting new concept based on the street-legal Enyaq Coupe RS, enhanced with motorsport-inspired features. Developed over two years, this study showcases Skoda's innovative approach to combining electric performance with sustainable materials.

    Design and Features

Compared to the production Enyaq Coupe RS, the Enyaq RS Race sports redesigned bumpers, modified headlight housings to fit larger 29-inch wheels, darkened taillights, and a sleek LED strip connecting the front lights. Sustainable biocomposite materials shape the bumpers, fenders, roof, roof vent, and rear wing, highlighting Skoda's eco-conscious focus.

The traditional glass roof is replaced with a lightweight biocomposite panel, reducing the overall weight by 315 kg (695 lbs) compared to the Enyaq Coupe. Polycarbonate side and rear windows further contribute to this significant weight reduction.

    Performance and Technology

Powering the concept is the same two-motor setup as the Enyaq Coupe RS, delivering 340 PS (335 hp/250 kW) with an 82 kWh battery. This setup accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in under five seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph).

Advanced carbon-ceramic brake discs with ten-piston front and four-piston rear calipers, paired with a new brake cooling system, ensure optimal stopping power. The pedal assembly is borrowed from the Skoda Fabia RS Rally2, enhancing driver feedback. Linear steering replaces the progressive rack-and-pinion system, offering a more direct road feel.
